Anoka Pheasants Forever: Established in 1984 as the 13th Chapter

Minnesota Chapters


Minnesota Chapters in 2008: Since 1982 PF has grown to 76 chapters in Minnesota and over 700 nationwide. There are over 25,000 members in Minnesota and more than 129,000 across the continent. Since its first project in 1984, Minnesota’s 76 PF chapters and one Quail Forever chapter have completed 22,367 projects affecting more than 191,886 acres of wildlife habitat. In fact, Minnesota PF chapters have spent more than $36 million on habitat and conservation education in the state.

Minnesota chapters have also participated in 343 land acquisitions totaling 29,762 acres since 1982. We are approaching 30,000 acres of acquisition that are now part of the WMA or the WPA system open to public hunting or other compatible uses. Below are details of Minnesota’s 2008 project totals:

  • Annual Banquet
  • Pine tree planting at Kunkel WMA in Isanti County with help from Anoka County 4-H
  • Game Fair at Armstrong Ranch Kennels
  • Participated in the 2008 Build A Wildlife Area Campaign
  • Youth Day at Beaverbrook Tri-County Sportsmen Club
  • Sent 1 kid to Deep Portage Upland Camp
  • Sponsored a youth to attend The Ultimate Nature Experience (T.U.N.E) Camp
  • Sponsored a Broken Wing Society hunt
  • Donated food plot seed to Capable Partners for an Isanti County WMA
  • Donated funds to Capable Partners
  • Donated funds to Kanabec Co PF for land acquisition
  • Sponsored food plot/habitat program for landowner
